The Fool

A young man in a fabulous outfit is on a hike, enjoying life and not giving a damn. He holds a flower in his left hand, with his bindle in his right. The sun shines down on him while he looks up into the sky admiring just how beautiful everything in the world is. Little does he know, he is about to fall off a cliff. What’s at the bottom? Who knows? Does the fool care, of course not. He is enjoying the moment he is living in and that’s all that matters to him. 

My name is Anthony, and I’m the founder of Torchlight Tarot. The fool is the beginning of all of our journeys, and resonates with the creation of this business. Living in New York City, especially coming from a smaller city in Australia was a challenging move. I fell in love, got a job, but there was something missing in my life. I had been reading tarot for 9 years and had learned so much with my cards, but since moving somewhere else I lost touch with the spiritual and empathetic side of myself. I have a passion for helping others, but didn’t know how I could do so. After exploring many options, it clicked that I could use my tarot reading skills as a way to empower others and provide insights into their lives. 

I had an idea, the beginning of a creation...but I was scared to start making my thoughts into a reality. This is where I had to channel my inner fool. I had to focus on the positives of my grand design and not be afraid to try new things. I jumped off the cliff and within 2 days I had designed a website and put myself out there. Without the fool, I don’t think this post would exist in the world today.
